I graduated in 1999 from Palmer College of Chiropractic and have worked at McCarter Health Center since graduation. I work alongside my father, a 1977 graduate of Palmer Chiropractic, and we are partners in practice and ownership of the corporation. We have expanded into a multidisciplinary clinic to include: chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, saliva hormone testing, nutritional supplementation, infrared sauna detoxification, and senior fitness testing. Future advancement in 2009 will include DOT testing, clinical nutritional counseling, strength training, and the addition of Dr. Justin McCarter upon graduation in 2009 from New York Chiropractic College. Dr. Justin will also graduate with a Masters in Clinical Nutrition.
While in Chiropractic College, I worked as a Gross Anatomy Dissector for 2 years. I was also a teaching assistant for neuromusculoskeletal and physical diagnosis courses. I participated in an externship for 1-½ years as a Chiropractic Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Department Extern. I was also involved in Sports Council during my college years, treating injured athletes with chiropractic, stretching, massage, ice, taping, and basic CPR/First Aid. All of these jobs focused upon the human body as well as diagnosis and treatment of injury.

Our mission at McCarter Chiropractic is to do our best to help our patients reach their optimum health potential. The diversity and availability of natural healthcare services allows us to offer specialized patient care for each individual that enters our facility. We pride ourselves on our interest in the patient and our ability to improve their health environment or refer out if necessary.
We involve ourselves in the community through workshops, lectures, healthfairs, sporting events, organization involvement, and chamber of commerce participation. We also host our own healthfair each year, "Kids Day Spring Fling." This event is wonderful and it focuses on kids health, fitness, and wellness. Fifteen to twenty area organizations, police and fire departments gather together each year to hand out information and get families involved in physical fitness, nutrition, and creative expression. It is a fun-filled day that focuses on our next generation of health and wellness.
Outside of the office, I spend my time with my family, 4 dogs, and 3 cats. I am a brown belt in Kung Fu, enjoy Bikram Yoga and modern dance. We travel as time permits and enjoy music extensively. We are frequent campers and enjoy the outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, and exploring.
